I.B.E.W Local Union 1430 is striving to become the leading legal representative of the workers of Westchester and its surrounding Counties of New York; including but not limited to the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties. We aim to provide workers with the most effective source of professional guidance so as to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect, receive the highest rate of pay and benefits, enjoy the safest working conditions; and ensure that every member of the Union is afforded their full rights at the workplace.

Past, Present and Future

I.B.E.W Local Union 1430 has existed for more than half a century. In the 1990’s the International Office merged I.B.E.W Local Union 1783 into I.B.E.W Local Union 1430, creating a large expansion in Local Union 1430’s jurisdiction.

Located in Armonk, New York, Local Union 1430 approximately 1000 members in various industries throughout lower New York. I.B.E.W Local 1430 currently represents members in the following industries:

Local Union 1430 represents employees working in Fortune 500 companies to small, local businesses. We have successfully negotiated multiple initial contracts for newly organized companies, and are highly active in organizing the unorganized.

Our goal is to increase our membership to 3,000 members in the next five years. We are one of the most
