I.B.E.W Local 1430 gains recognition at it’s third major Cablevision contractor, ACS Telecommunications. On February 6, 2013, ACS employees joined the I.B.E.W and adopted the industry Collective Bargaining Agreement. Welcome Brothers!

I.B.E.W Local 1430 secures first contract for the Technicians of Corbel Installations. This contract breaks ground as it is the first Collective Bargaining Agreement with any Cablevision contractor. Congratulations to the employees of Corbel, it’s been three long years, but your hard work has paid off!

I.B.E.W Local 1430 has recently named Joe Luciano as Union Treasurer. Brother Luciano has been a long time shop steward and served on the e-board for over 10 years. As we are saddened by the passing of our previous Treasurer, Ray J. Defino, we are glad to welcome Brother Luciano as the Union Treasurer.

I.B.E.W Local 1430 has recently lost a brother, a friend and a long time shop steward. We are very saddened by the loss of Ray J. Defino. Brother Defino was a shop steward for many years, was later voted to the e-board and eventually appointed as Union Treasurer. Brother Defino served as Treasurer for over 10 years, right up until his passing on April 24, 2012. Our greatest condolences are with the Defino family.
